The carnival comes to school.

We had a carnival at school. It was an exciting day with lots and lots of fun activities.(Dictated to the teacher.)

Mr. Whippy was there too.

I had a great time on the bouncy castle.

The day ended with Santa giving us a surprise.
There was a lollie scramble and I got heaps of lollies.

The best part of the day was the
waterslide and the water bombs.

Prize Giving

I am so happy. I got an award for academic promise.
My parents are so proud of me.

Our Gingerbread House

Mrs. Mackinlay and the children from Rm 18 made a gingerbread house. We all took turns to make the house. We had some ginger biscuits, coloured icing and lot of lollies. (Dictated to then teacher.)

I open the box full of ingredients.
I had to be careful so that the biscuits would not break.

We all took turns to put some yellow icing on the ginger biscuits.
It was smelling delicious. I wish we could eat it straight away.
Mrs. Mackinlay said that we could eat it the next day
because  the icing needed to harden up.
